Our programme, called Closing the Vector-Control Deployment Gap [CVCDG], is straining every sinew to address these needless injustices. Its foundations lie in our rigorous evaluation of the biological and behavioural attributes of vectors, mostly various species of mosquito, that collectively facilitate transmission of a broad range of diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, dengue, and lymphatic filariasis.
The skunk on our landing page draws upon the image used by Skunk Works, originally developed within Lockheed Martin's Advanced Development Programs but now is widely used to represent a small, autonomous group within a larger organisation, usually given high independence and minimal bureaucracy to research and develop radical, highly innovative projects.
